Is Islam a pissy religion?
One strange fact of Islam is that urine and bodily fluids are mentioned in the Hadith and Quran in a very strange and disturbing way. This strange topic come about when Muhammed was made fun of by his followers and called him a girl when they saw him squatting to take a leak (i mean what man needs to squat to take a leak anyway?). As mentioned in the Sahih Bakahir Chapter 25- verse 22 " Abdur-Rahman Hin Hasanah said: "Amr bin Al- As "and I went to the prophet. He came out with a leather shield, and then used it to cover himself while he urinated. We said: Look at him! He urinates as a woman urinates."
Now I don't know about you, but if I was a man and other people found out I urinated differently to the rest of my gender, I would be pretty upset. So much so, that I will tell a lie and preach to everyone that anyone who doesn't copy my actions will be condemned to death. So that's what Muhammed decided to do.
It was narrated in Hadith No: 347. Narrated/Authority of Ibn Abbas Listed in: The Chapters of Purification and its Sunnah. "The Messenger of Allah (saw) passed by two new graves and he said: 'They are being punished, but they are not being punished for anything major. One of them was heedless about preventing urine from getting on his clothes, and the other used to walk about spreading malicious gossip."
It begs the question, is God on duty to make sure that people must squat when urinating otherwise they deserve the everlasting hellfire? Surely God has better things to do with his/her time like punishing REAL criminals, right? Well, according to this hadith, the answer, in short, is no.
Further urine obsession isn't hard to find as Muhammed went as far to prescribe camel urine and milk as MEDICINE to cure certain ailments - gross I know.
Narrated Abu Qilaba: "Anas said, "Some people of 'Ukl or 'Uraina tribe came to Medina and its climate did not suit them. So the Prophet ordered them to go to the herd of (Milch) camels and to drink their milk and urine (as a medicine). So they went as directed and after, they killed the shepherd of the Prophet and drove away all the camels. The news reached the Prophet early in the morning and he sent (men) in their pursuit and they were captured and brought at noon. He then ordered to cut their hands and feet (and it was done), and their eyes were branded with heated pieces of iron, They were put in 'Al-Harra' and when they asked for water, no water was given to them." Abu Qilaba said, "Those people committed theft and murder, became infidels after embracing Islam and fought against Allah and His Apostle. (Sahih Bukhari, Ablutions (Wudu'), Volume 1, Book 4, Number 234)"- what a charming fellow, huh?
I'm not taking the piss but, surely in modern day countries such as Saudi Arabia and other middle eastern countries, should have the need to sell camel urine for public consumption, but they do. In the 21st century, there are people who they still selling bottled camel urine to be bought and drank for health purposes. Can this get any worse? Well yes. In fact, Muhammed said that most of the inhabitants of hell were the result of not urinating (or not squatting to pee). Again in Sunan Ibn Majah 348 - It was narrated that Abu Hurairah said: "The Messenger of Allah said: 'Most of the torment of the grace is because of urine'.
So there it is in black and white, that Islam has a really unhealthy obsession with urine. I may not be religious but it seems to me that just sending people to hell for not squatting seems like the most dumbest reason to go to hell for. I mean, I'm no God but, I can think of so many reasons as to why I would punish someone -take, for instance, pedophilia, murder, slavery etc. *sips tea*
